| SeaCoast Aviation LLC was formed on January 26, 1996 when Walter Fawcett and Donald Delande purchased the assets of the Portsmouth, NH FBO, (Fixed Base Operator) Trans Oceanic Inc, out of bankruptcy. When SeaCoast Aviation LLC assumed the FBO operations they also assumed the freight ground-handling contract with Emery Worldwide. The Emery contact was for daily B-727 or DC-8 flights from Portsmouth to Dayton, Ohio.
Seacoast Aviation Air Cargo was formed as a DBA of SeaCoast Aviation LLC when, a portion of the FBO assets were sold and the ground handling became a stand-alone business. It was at this time the cargo operation moved into the new cargo facility our current address.
The Emery contract increased to include daily Postal flights from Portsmouth, NH to Orlando, FL. In addition to the daily Postal flights, additional flights were operated at the peak Christmas rush to include such as B-747’s, DC-10’s, MD-11’s and DC-8’s. During these peak Christmas operations over 300,000 lbs. of mail, per day, were being transferred.
SeaCoast Aviation Air Cargo handles on demand domestic and international air cargo charters, which include aircraft as large as the Antonov AN-124. Our facility has 8.500 sq. ft. of warehouse space and over 150,000 sq. ft. of ramp for aircraft parking. Additional aircraft parking is available for up to 4 B-747 size aircraft.
